Bandit has just finished making a fabric swing from the tree for the girls to play on, and Judo has arrived to join in on the fun. The three of them decide to play “Butterflies”, and Bluey shows them how it’s done – she starts as a caterpillar, hops into the swing to transform into a cocoon, and then emerges as a butterfly, trying to escape the butterfly catchers. Bingo is excited to go first, but she has to take a quick side step as Judo jumps in. The sisters then head off to hide, ready to catch the butterflies, but Bingo gets distracted by a bug and starts making up a song about it.
When Judo emerges as a butterfly, the sisters catch her, and then it’s Bingo’s turn. However, Judo starts to get impatient, complaining that Bingo is taking too long, but Bluey sticks up for her little sister, saying she has little legs. Bingo starts singing her “little bug” song, which makes Judo and Bluey get a bit restless, and Judo suggests they run away. Bluey agrees, but looks unsure. When Bingo emerges as a butterfly, she flutters around the garden, but there’s no one there to catch her. Bluey and Judo are playing together, but when Bingo finds them, Judo tells Bluey to run away with her, leaving Bingo behind. Bluey looks regretful, but follows Judo, and Bingo goes back to her cocoon, singing her song to herself.
Judo wants to play “phones” with Bluey, but Bluey is worried about Bingo and wants to check on her. Judo dominates the conversation, not letting Bluey get a word in, and Bluey eventually sneaks away to find her sister. Bluey apologizes to Bingo for leaving her, but Bingo is still hurt and stays in her cocoon. Bluey starts to well up in tears and sits down beside the tree, then begins to sing the bug song, which prompts Bingo to join in. The two sisters hug and make up, but their reunion is short-lived, as Judo interrupts them. The three of them have a bit of a disagreement, but eventually they all make up and decide to play “Butterflies” again. This time, however, they all want to be the catcher, and they end up chasing Bandit, who’s trying to do his washing.
