Bluey - Cubby

Bluey and Bingo construct a unique and meaningful hideaway for their cherished plush toy, Kimjim.

The episode starts with Bandit watching cricket on TV while Bluey and Bingo play with Kimjim in their cozy cubby, a blanket fort between a table and settee. They’re playing a game similar to Snakes and Ladders, and Kimjim has won again. As nap time approaches, the sisters realize there’s not enough room for Kimjim to sleep.

Chilli mentions to Bandit that she thinks the wall between the living room and conservatory should be removed because it’s too cramped. Bandit jokingly replies that the only thing that needs to be bigger is the TV. Chilli decides to get the tape measure, and as she does, Bluey and Bingo take the cushions from the settee Bandit is sitting on, leaving him on the floor. The sisters then start building a bedroom for Kimjim, followed by a playroom, using towels and a chair. They even create a bathroom, taking Bandit’s last cushion. Chilli continues measuring in the background, occasionally walking into the various rooms the girls are building, including the bathroom.

As the girls continue to build, they create a dining room, complete with utensils and plates, and even artwork. After dinner, they move to the drawing room, but realize they need a kitchen to display their drawings. Bandit, still watching TV, needs to use the toilet and asks the girls for directions. They give him a series of instructions, leading him through a maze of rooms, including an underwater room, a disco room, and a burger room. Eventually, he runs into Chilli, who points him in the right direction and asks him to take the tape measure. Meanwhile, Bluey and Bingo realize they’ve lost Kimjim and start searching for him, running through the various rooms, including a zoo and crocodile room. Bandit, still desperate to use the toilet, finds a flowerpot with a frisbee attached, not quite what he had in mind. He apologizes and says he’ll “take a little peek,” accidentally destroying the roof of the cubby, causing a domino effect that leads to the girls escaping just in time. In the end, the living room is restored to its original state, and the girls are back in their one-room cubby, playing Snakes and Ladders with Kimjim. Bandit and Chilli agree that the TV and room are big enough, and the girls confirm they don’t need more space.
