The girls’ mother asks them to clean up the playroom, but they come up with a different plan. They activate the “Daddy Robot,” which is really just Bandit pretending to be a robot, to do the tidying for them. With the Daddy Robot on the job, the girls settle in on the settee, feeling quite pleased with themselves. They’re so impressed that they declare they never want to clean the playroom again and inform the Daddy Robot of their decision.
The Daddy Robot responds by recalculating his objectives and picking up the girls, intending to take them to the wheelie bin since they’re the ones responsible for the mess. As they pass by, Chilli is spraying her houseplants and Bluey grabs the spray bottle, giving the Daddy Robot a squirt. This causes the Daddy Robot to pretend to malfunction, resulting in a series of silly misidentifications – the girls are mistaken for vacuum cleaners, banjos, dirty laundry, and even a guinea pig. The Daddy Robot then breaks into a Cossack dance, heading into the conservatory.
The girls come up with a new plan to shut down the Daddy Robot by getting Chilli to play the role of “Mummy Robot.” They sneak up on the Daddy Robot, but not before he falls in love with the Mummy Robot and performs a lively Riverdance. While the Daddy Robot is “unconscious,” Chilli “operates” on him with a crayon, and the girls explain that they’re to blame for his malfunction. Fortunately, the Daddy Robot is “repaired” and wakes up ready for his next task. The girls take him to the playroom, tell him to sit down and relax, and even bring in the Mummy Robot to join him. As the girls clean up the playroom, Chilli and Bandit share a kiss, with the girls looking on lovingly at their parents.
