As the family returns home on an orange evening, Bingo excitedly rushes in to tell Bandit they’re back. Meanwhile, Chilli stops at the entrance room, and Bluey moves around on the ground, likely due to being tired. Bingo is eager to play Crazy Pillow with Bandit, but he mentions he needs to go exercise. He promises to play after dinner, but Chilli reminds Bingo that he’s having a bath after dinner. Bingo then asks if they can have a “forever-weekend”.
Chilli checks the fridge to see what’s for dinner, and Bingo requests cereal, but Chilli says that’s not an option for dinner. She suggests meatballs, but Bluey isn’t interested. Spaghetti is also proposed, but Bluey just moans. Bandit tries to slip away to go for a run, but Chilli interrupts, announcing that they’re going to play Musical Statues instead. Bluey and Bandit are both less than enthusiastic about it. Bandit is put in charge of the music and starts playing some polka, but stops it after just a couple of seconds and declares everyone is out for blinking. However, Chilli encourages him to do it properly, and Bingo chimes in, saying “… or don’t do it at all.” Bandit sits back down and tries again. This time, Chilli takes over and puts on some “real music”. Chilli and Bingo can actually dance to this song, but Bluey is still unenthusiastic, just moaning and swaying.
As the game continues, Chilli tries to get Bluey to dance, but she’s not having it. Bingo gets called out and is assigned to help Dad. Bluey remains uninterested until Bingo suggests changing the tune to “I Love Cereal”, which gets Bluey dancing and having fun. When the music pauses, Bingo goes to inspect the statues and gets caught in a “boogie trap” as Bluey and Chilli bounce her back and forth when the music resumes. The game takes a few more turns, with Bandit showing off his ’80s moves and Chilli challenging him to dance. Eventually, Bluey is declared the winner. After the game, Bluey asks for another round, but Chilli suggests letting Bandit go for his run. However, Bandit thinks dancing is better exercise, and they all want to keep dancing. Chilli consults the imaginary rulebook and decides that they can play Musical Statues without stopping the music. As they continue to dance, Chilli explains that the goal is not to win, but to just dance while the music is playing. Eventually, the family collapses on the rug, exhausted. Bandit uses Bingo as a pillow, and Bluey seems cheered up. As they wind down, Bingo and Bandit playfully tickle each other, and Chilli finally reveals that they’re having cereal for dinner.
