It’s Lila’s birthday party in the park, and the kids are about to play Pass the Parcel. Just as they’re getting started, Lila’s brother accidentally ruins the piñata, and Sheila tries to fix it. Pat takes over the game, but he’s confused about the modern version of Pass the Parcel, where each layer has a present and every kid gets a turn. He’s used to the old way, with one big present in the middle.
As the game goes on, Bingo and Lila get matching bracelets, and Pom Pom gets a lollipop. When it’s Missy’s turn, there’s a delay, and Pom Pom ends up getting the parcel again. Pat takes it away, and Pom Pom gets upset. Later, it’s time for Chucky’s birthday party, and Janelle is setting up Pass the Parcel. Pat insists on playing the old way, with one big present in the middle, warning that “We’re raising a nation of squibs.” The game doesn’t go well, with Bingo crying when she realizes there’s no present, and the other kids getting sad too. The parents are frustrated with Pat, and Bandit tells him that times have changed. Pat tries to make it up to the kids by giving them money and Chucky’s presents, and Jasper wins a water gun in the chaos.
As the parties continue, Jasper has his birthday and wants to play Pass the Parcel the old way, just like Pat. This time, Missy wins a cool Aero Copter Bopter, but Bingo is upset that she didn’t win. At Buddy’s party, they play the old way again, and Lila wins a bubble shooter. Bingo is happy for Lila, though, and is learning to be a good sport. Chilli notices that Bingo is getting better at losing, and they look back at all the previous parties, where different kids won different prizes: Chucky won a toy bath boat, Muffin won books, and Pom Pom won a Chattermax. Finally, it’s Bluey’s birthday party, and she lets Bingo choose how to play Pass the Parcel. The next morning, the kids play the game again, and this time, Bingo wins a birdie kite. She’s thrilled, wagging her tail excitedly, and it’s a happy ending to the party.
