Chilli and Bandit are sitting on a bench at the park when Bluey, Bingo, and Missy come over and ask to play a game of pirates. Chilli is a bit concerned that it might be too scary for Missy, but Missy promises to be brave. The game gets underway on the hammock swing, with Chilli narrating the story from the fort. Bluey is the brave pirate, and Bingo is the greedy pirate. Bandit starts rocking the swing to create a “storm”, and Missy gets frightened and slides off to hide on steady ground. Chilli says she is the lighthouse keeper.
As the game continues, Pirate Bingo almost loses her treasure overboard, but Pirate Bluey rescues her. When the “seas” calm down, Pirate Missy returns from the lighthouse to join in again. However, the boat is then hit by a blue whale – Bandit shaking the swing – and Missy jumps off and hides again. Bluey and Bingo think it’s hilarious and giggle as they get bucked around on the hammock swing. The story takes a turn when Bluey teases the blue whale, calling it a “poo” whale, and then they get swallowed up by it. As they slide around inside the whale, they call out to Missy for help, but she’s still too scared to get on.
Bandit starts making loud whale calls, but stops when another family shows up at the park. Chilli teases him about being embarrassed to make silly noises in front of others. With some encouragement, Missy finally gets up onto the swing and into the whale. Chilli suggests that maybe others, like Bandit, could learn from Missy’s bravery. As the three pirates tickle the blue whale, Bandit finds his courage and lets out a loud bellow as he rocks the swing to spit the kids out of the whale’s belly. The three pirates land safely back in their hammock swing boat, and Bandit, still playing the blue whale, gets a hug from Chilli for being “brave”.
