Bluey finds a 10-dollar note on the floor and excitedly shows it to Bingo. They then approach their dad, asking if he can take them to buy ice cream. However, Bandit claims the money as his own, saying he might have dropped it, and snatches it from them. The kids protest, but their dad tells them they need to work for money. When they refuse to listen, he offers to drive them to the corner shop, but only if they can get him to the car – and he’s not going to make it easy, declaring “Ragdoll!”
This means the girls have to move a large, heavy, and limp Blue Heeler ragdoll – which is actually their dad – to the door, down the stairs, and all the way to the car. Along the way, Bandit shares words of wisdom about hard work, which only annoys the girls. They eventually give up trying to get him to drive, but their desire for ice cream remains strong. Undeterred, they find a way out of the house using a skateboard and roller skates.
Just as they’re making their escape, Wendy notices the commotion and decides to help. With a spectacular display of strength, thanks to “10 years of pilates,” she lifts Bandit into the driver’s seat. However, Bandit insists he’s still unable to drive. Wendy offers to drive instead, and eventually, they make it to the corner shop. The girls finally get their ice cream, and Bluey discovers that the treat is even sweeter when earned through hard work.
