Bluey, Bingo, and their cousins Muffin and Socks stumble upon a “good luck” trinket that belonged to Chilli from her backpacking days. This sparks an idea, and the kids decide to play a game of “backpackers” with Chilli and Bandit as the travelers. The kids cling to Chilli and Bandit, whispering commands as they start their adventure.
The first command has Chilli searching for a guidebook to book a hotel. However, this is soon interrupted by Bluey whispering “I’m hungry” to Bandit. Bandit then heads to a croissant stall run by a dog-gnome vendor, where he’s told to buy all the croissants. To his surprise, the vendor accepts bananas as payment. Meanwhile, Chilli finds a tuktuk driven by another dog-gnome, who charges a hefty 300 units of currency. They have no choice but to accept, as Bandit suddenly develops a tummy ache from eating too many croissants, made worse by a stomach jab from Bingo.
As they ride through the garden in the tuktuk, Chilli is commanded to stop and take a picture of a temple, much to Bandit’s dismay. They eventually arrive at their destination and make their way through a market filled with dog-gnomes selling various items. The kids command Chilli to get lost, and after Bandit develops another stomach pain, courtesy of Bingo, they decide to check into a nearby hotel – the garden shed. At the hotel lobby, they’re asked to produce their passports, which leads to a frantic search through the “backpacks” before Chilli and Bandit empty them out, shaking them upside down in the sandpit until the passports fall out. Finally, they check in, and Bandit can use the bathroom. As they take in the view from their hotel balcony, a voice calls up to let them know their mountain hike is ready, prompting the kids to cling to Chilli and Bandit once again, this time with mountain boots.
