At home, Bingo snuggles up on Chilli’s lap as she teaches Bluey how to crochet. Bluey wonders what a “quest” is, and Chilli explains it with an example that coincidentally relates to Bingo’s upcoming adventure. Just then, Bandit asks one of the kids to help him carry naan for a curry swap with Mackenzie’s family. Since Bluey is busy, he asks Bingo to lend a hand. Initially, Bingo doesn’t want to leave the house, but Bandit tempts her with an offer of face painting from Mackenzie’s mum.
Bingo agrees and they set off. Along the way, Bandit gives her fun challenges like walking backwards, on one foot, and other playful tasks. They meet Doreen, who warns them about a magpie guarding its eggs at the park. She shows them proof of the magpie’s aggression and advises them to never take their eyes off it. When they arrive at the park, they try to navigate past the magpie, but it’s not smooth sailing and they narrowly avoid an attack. They finally make it to Mackenzie’s house, where Bingo gets her face painted and learns that Bandit will be leaving for a 6-week work trip the next day. Mackenzie’s mum is practicing face painting for an upcoming fair and is feeling uncertain, but Bingo encourages her to keep going.
As they prepare to leave, Bingo asks Mackenzie’s mum for one more favor, and then they head back to the park. This time, they’re prepared for the magpie, using their face paint to create the illusion that they’re staring at it the whole time. They make it back home safely, with some of Mackenzie’s dad’s curry in tow. Bluey asks Chilli why heroes go on quests despite the dangers, and Chilli replies that it’s what makes them heroes: “They go anyway.” The episode ends with Bandit leaving for his trip, the magpie’s eggs hatching, and the family eventually having a video call with Bandit while he’s away. Six weeks pass, and Bandit returns home to his family, marking the end of his journey.
