The episode starts with Chilli reading a magazine about garden furniture, while Bandit relaxes in the back living room. Bluey is busy cleaning up spilled orange juice and asks her dad if she really needs to clean everything up. Bandit tells her, “If you’re going to do something, do it properly.” Just then, Bingo walks in wearing a papoose, which Bandit explains they used to carry the kids around the park. Bluey sees an opportunity for a joke and suggests Bingo get into the papoose, which she barely fits into. This gives Bluey another idea, and she decides they should play “Dad Baby.”
Bluey tells her dad that he’s pregnant with a baby, so he needs to act like he’s expecting. Bandit decides to fully commit to the role, complaining about his back and feet, and needing to sit down. He’s also very hungry and asks for vitamin E cream. Chilli, knowing what’s coming, puts down her magazine and starts teasing Bandit with it. Bandit, with Bingo in the papoose, and Bluey decide to make a run for it. As they head down the hallway, Bandit accidentally knocks over a fruit bowl, a miniature gnome, and a water bottle. He tries to clean up the mess, but his “belly” is too heavy to bend down. Bluey tries to help, but Bandit accidentally knocks her down twice.
The game continues in the kitchen, where Bluey tells Bandit that he’s eating for two. Bandit wants dim sims, but Bingo keeps snatching them from him. Later, in the backyard, Bandit tries to do some labor exercises, but ends up just sitting down. Chilli reminds him about “Baby Kicks,” and Bandit wants to end the game. But Bluey tells him, “If you’re going to do something, do it properly.” Suddenly, Bingo pops out from under the papoose, and Bandit goes into “labor.” He decides to have a waterbirth, and as he’s breathing deeply in the birth pool, Bluey asks what’s next. Bandit asks if Bluey is the midwife, but she says she’s just a friend who works at a petrol station. Just then, Lucky’s Dad arrives, and Bluey asks him to be the midwife. As he tries to help with the birth, Bingo bites his hand and hides back in Bandit’s “belly.” Eventually, with some effort, Bingo is “born,” along with some dim sims. The scene is chaotic, with Wendy watching from next door, and Lucky’s Dad trying to focus on the birth while also wanting to watch the cricket game. After Bingo is finally “delivered,” everyone cheers, and Bandit lies in the birthing pool, cradling his “newborn” child. Bluey suggests they need to give the baby a name, and Bandit decides to name it Chilli. As the episode ends, Bluey decides it’s her turn to play “Dad Baby,” and the camera focuses on a panicked Bandit.
