The Heeler family is having dinner together, and Bandit is excited for his steak. However, Chilli stops him, reminding him that Bluey and Bingo have a song to sing from kindergarten. After the song, Bluey suggests playing a game of Favourite Thing, where each family member shares their favourite thing that happened that day. Bluey starts by sharing a story from morning tea, where Bingo tried to eat cherry tomatoes with her fork and said “This is trifficult!” – a mix of “tricky” and “difficult”. The family laughs, except for Bingo, who gets upset and runs to her room.
Chilli follows Bingo to comfort her, while Bluey is confused about why Bingo is upset. Bandit explains that Bingo thought the family was laughing at her, not with her. When Bingo returns, Bluey checks in with her, but she’s still upset and doesn’t want to share her favourite thing. To make her feel better, Bluey changes her favourite thing to a story about afternoon tea, where they had a BBQ and Chilli tried to get them to eat alfalfa. The family laughs, but Bingo only manages a small smile. It’s then Chilli’s turn, and Bluey asks her to share a story where Bingo does something funny. Chilli shares a story from lunch at a restaurant, where Bingo did a trick with her, but it doesn’t quite cheer Bingo up.
Bandit decides to share his least favourite thing from the day, which involves changing a light bulb and Bingo getting him to say “Dad knows nothing”. The family laughs, and even Bingo cracks a smile. Bluey then decides to share her real favourite thing, which is a fanciful tale about morning tea, where Bingo launches a cherry tomato into the air, hitting Bandit in the forehead, and then saves a garden gnome from a falling pink hippo using a jet pack. The family laughs, and Bingo finally starts to smile. However, Bluey realizes that Bingo is still upset, and Chilli explains that you can’t always fix people’s feelings. The family continues to try and cheer Bingo up, with Bandit calling Bluey “Dude” repeatedly, making her laugh hysterically. Eventually, Bingo starts to giggle and comes back to the table, where she and Bluey start calling each other “Dude”. The family decides to play a new game, sharing their favourite thing that’s happening right now, and Bingo finally finds something to smile about, saying “This is trifficult” as Bandit takes a drink of water, making everyone laugh.
