In the backyard, Bluey and her dad are discussing how to stay focused and not get distracted. He uses the garden gnome as an example, but Bluey quickly gets sidetracked by a passing dragonfly. She then visits Bingo, who has put a carrot on her head to pretend to be a unicorn. Bluey suggests playing a game of hide and seek, and she’ll be the seeker. However, she has a history of getting distracted during this game, so she promises to stay on track.
The family hides in various spots: Bingo inside the toy box, Bandit in the cupboard, and Chilli in the shower. Bluey starts searching, but she picks up a tennis ball instead of finding Bingo. She refocuses and walks away, leaving Bingo safe for the moment. As she searches the kitchen, she finds a stray Chattermax in the cupboard, which demands food. Bluey tries to feed it, but then remembers she needs to find her family. She walks by Bingo’s hiding spot again, but instead of finding her, she decides to find food for the Chattermax. Bingo is unimpressed, and Bluey gets further distracted when the Chattermax needs to use the toilet. She puts it on the toilet and then helps it wash its hands, but in the process, she forgets about the game again.
Bluey plays with the Chattermax, having a tea party, but eventually needs to shut it off. She can’t get help from her family because they’re still hiding. As she laments her situation in the backyard, she notices the garden gnome and gets an idea. She puts the Chattermax down and concentrates, finally remembering her objective: to find her family. She easily finds Bandit, Chilli, and Bingo, and they all share a laugh about their experience. Later, Bingo becomes the seeker, but she can only count to 14. Bluey and Chilli hide in the cupboard, but Bingo finds them in the bin. Bluey tells Chilli she put the Chattermax next to the garden gnome, and soon Bingo finds them.
