Bluey is excitedly waiting for her cousins to arrive for a play date and is playing with her favorite toy, Polly Puppy. When the doorbell rings, Chilli reminds Bluey to put Polly Puppy away because last time the cousins visited, they accidentally got her dirty with passion fruit, which upset Bluey. However, before Bluey can put Polly Puppy away, Bandit scoops her up, leaving the toy on the ground.
As the cousins, Trixie, Stripe, and Muffin, arrive, they greet the Heeler family, although Socks is a bit standoffish at first. But as soon as she spots Polly Puppy, Socks becomes fixated on the toy. Meanwhile, the mothers head out to play hockey, while Bandit and Stripe try to persuade the kids to watch cricket instead. The kids are not interested, and they decide to play horsey rides instead. Uncle Stripe becomes Sparkles the pony, and Bandit becomes Gallahop, with Bluey leading them around. Then, Muffin suggests that Sparkles needs more glitter, so Bluey runs inside to get some.
When Bluey enters the house, she finds Socks aggressively playing with Polly Puppy, refusing to let go of the toy, even snapping at Bandit when he tries to intervene. Bluey and her family come up with a plan to distract Socks and rescue Polly Puppy by staging a “horsey wedding”. They set up a flower-lined aisle, gather toy guests, and have Bluey act as the MC, playing the keyboard. Bingo delivers a sweet sermon from the Book of Recipes, but Socks still won’t let go of Polly Puppy. However, when Bingo and Muffin start demanding that their fathers get “married”, Socks becomes invested in the game and eventually drops Polly Puppy. As the kids chase after Uncle Stripe, who is still playing the horse, Bluey sneaks away to retrieve her toy, exchanging a wink with Uncle Stripe. The wedding continues until the mothers return, and they are filled in on the fun and chaotic events that took place while they were away.
