The Heeler family is back home from their trip to CrazyWorld, with show bags in tow and parents Chilli and Bandit looking exhausted. As they collapse onto the couch and cushions, Bluey and Bingo come up with a new game to play before bedtime – a race to the top of Mount Mumandad. The rules are simple: Bandit can’t move or speak, and the girls have to use their imagination.
Bingo starts by packing her “important mountain stuff”, which includes a torch, purple undies, a pair of socks, a tie, and a music box. With their gear in place, the girls set off to climb Mount Mum, with Bluey finding a stinky spot on the mountain – Mum’s feet. Meanwhile, Bingo gets distracted taking pictures of the view from the top of Mum’s face. When Bluey tries to jump to Mount Dad, she slips, but luckily Bingo has a rope – her tie – to help her sister out. Once they’re safe, they continue their climb, but find Dad’s torso to be really slippery. Bluey cheats by using Bingo’s head as a stepping stone, which causes Bingo to tumble back down Mount Dad.
The old man mountain exacts its revenge with a cushion avalanche and a storm, complete with flashing lights. The girls take shelter in Bingo’s impromptu tent, made from a hanging light, blankets – actually socks – and a beanie – the purple undies. Despite being exasperated with Bingo earlier, Bluey admits the tent is a great idea, and they play Snap and tell shadow puppet stories until the storm – Bandit’s snoring – passes. Bluey apologizes for cheating, and the girls snuggle up to watch the dancing ballerina music box that Bingo packed. Finally, they climb the last part of Mount Mumanddad together, and as they reach the top, they plant a united flag on Bandit’s head, startling him awake and setting off a fit of giggles.
