Bluey is excited to teach her friend Chloe how to play “Octopus” with her dad Bandit. They set up the game at The Heelers’ place, where Bandit pretends to be an octopus guarding his treasure. Bluey and Chloe work together to try and steal it. They have a blast playing the game, and in the end, they manage to get their hands on Bandit’s treasure.
When Chloe gets back home, she wants to play “Octopus” with her dad, but things don’t go exactly as planned. Her dad plays the game differently than Bandit, and he doesn’t think octopi are stupid or that they have treasure. This doesn’t sit well with Chloe, and she says “Bluey’s dad is more fun than you”. Later on, Chloe catches her dad researching octopi, and it turns out he was playing the game too realistically. He wants to learn more so he can play it better with Chloe in the future. Together, they spend some time learning about different sea creatures, like electric eels and flying fish.
When Bluey comes over for another playdate, Chloe is excited to incorporate their new knowledge into the game. As they play, Bluey asks if she can be a poisonous and electric octopus, which isn’t typically how octopi are. Chloe turns to her dad, and they both say “This one can”. With their newfound knowledge, they’re able to make the game even more fun for everyone involved.
