Chilli and Bluey wave goodbye to Bandit and Bingo as they drive away. Soon, the sky darkens and rain starts pouring down. Chilli quickly gathers the laundry, while Bluey dances in the rain. The water flows into the gutter, but leaves clog the drain, causing the water to spill onto the front path. Bluey notices the water flowing and tries to build a dam using her feet, but it’s not enough. Chilli finishes collecting the laundry and hands Bluey an umbrella, but Bluey uses it to try and block the water instead. The umbrella doesn’t work, so Bluey tries using a newspaper, but it keeps blowing away.
Bluey runs inside, leaving a trail of water behind her, and collects some toy blocks. She rushes back outside, but Chilli blocks her way, showing her the mess she’s made. They both talk over each other, with Chilli pointing out the mess and Bluey excitedly showing her the blocks. Eventually, Chilli lets Bluey pass, and she places the blocks in a line, but they still won’t stay in place. Chilli calls out to Bluey, who’s now making a mess, and points to a towel for her to wipe her feet with. But Bluey has other ideas and uses the towel to help hold the blocks in place. When the newspaper starts to move, Bluey grabs another towel, despite Chilli’s frustration. The blocks and newspaper stay in place, but the dam is only halfway across the path. Bluey tries to block the water with her legs and hands, but she’s not big enough.
Chilli gives up and sits down on the decking, watching Bluey try to block the water. Bluey uses her feet and hands to cover the rest of the path, but it’s still not enough. Just as the water is about to overflow, Chilli joins in, using an umbrella to help. But when that’s not enough, she tosses the umbrella aside and uses her hands to seal the gap. The water builds up, and Bluey and Chilli excitedly wait to see what happens next. But just as the water is about to overflow, the rain stops, and the water starts to recede. Bluey and Chilli look up to see the sky clearing, and a double rainbow appears behind them. They hug each other, tails wagging, but their happiness is short-lived, as the thunder rumbles again and the rain starts pouring down once more. The water flows back into the gutter and onto the path, and Bluey and Chilli look at each other, knowing exactly what they need to do. They take off running, back to the dam, ready to start all over again.
