The backyard is buzzing with excitement as Stumpfest gets underway. Bandit, Stripe, Pat, and Muffin make their presence known, but Bluey is confused about what’s going on. Bandit explains that Stumpfest is an event where the men remove all the stumps in the backyard while the kids play and the ladies watch from the balcony. The men start tearing into their first stump, and the kids set up a nail salon on another stump, decorating it to look the part. Bluey tells Bandit that she and the girls will use one of the stumps, but she misses the important detail that the game will end when the men finish with the other stump, and the stump she’s using will be ripped up.
As the kids play, the nail salon gets its first customers, Chilli and Trixie. The girls try to recruit more customers, asking Bandit and the boys if they want to get their nails done. However, when the boys finish with the first stump, they head to the nail salon, putting it at risk of closure. Bluey hadn’t realized that the stump was going to be ripped out, and the girls are adamant that it should stay. Chilli and Trixie chime in, taking the girls’ side and telling the boys to “go and destroy the planet somewhere else!” Bandit needs the stump gone, but the girls are resistant to the idea.
An agreement is eventually reached, where the boys will get a makeover, complete with face makeup, in exchange for being allowed to rip out the stump. Bluey, Bingo, and Muffin give the boys a makeover, and then the boys are ready to finish their work. Bluey is initially upset, but eventually concedes and watches from a distance as the boys rip out the stump. She realizes that she had been disrupting the Stumpfest ceremony and gains an appreciation for the hard work the men are doing. Just as the boys finish their work and are given a glass of lemonade to toast the Stumpfest ceremony, something unexpected happens.
