It’s a sweltering Queensland day, and Chilli and the kids are lounging in the living room. Bluey is chatting into the fan, telling Chilli she doesn’t want to brush her teeth because it’s boring. Chilli responds by saying that boring things are important too, but Bluey disagrees. Chilli teases that Bluey sounds like her father, Bandit.
Bandit walks in with pool noodles, announcing that Uncle Stripe is in Bali and they can use his pool. As they head out the door, Chilli reminds them to grab the pool bag and not just pack the fun stuff. However, Bluey and Bandit shout “BORING” in unison, ignoring Chilli’s advice. On the car ride to Uncle Stripe’s house, Bluey complains that Chilli is a fusspot because she always makes them do boring things.
When they arrive, the kids realize they’ve forgotten their thongs because they thought they were boring. Bandit has to carry the kids and pool toys to the backyard. At the pool, they discover they’ve also forgotten rashies and sun cream, so Bandit says they’ll have to play in the shade. Bluey jumps in, but Bingo stays on the steps, trying to avoid the pool’s cleaning device, which scares her. As they play, Bluey’s eyes start to sting from the chlorine, and she wishes they had swim goggles. Bingo gets cornered by the cleaning device and yells for Bandit, who comes to her rescue. As the shade recedes, the girls get hungry and bored, and Bandit decides it’s time to call it a day. Just as they’re deciding that Bandit is the boring one, Chilli arrives with the pool bag, full of the very things they had initially deemed boring. They have lunch in the cabana and then jump back in the pool with all the necessary gear, proving that sometimes boring things are also important.
