Chilli had just finished tucking the kids into bed, and Bandit suggested they watch something together. However, Bluey was still wide awake, protesting the idea of sleep and claiming she wanted to get rid of bedtime altogether. Chilli offered to read her another story, but before they could start, an annoying hand puppet unicorn named Unicorse appeared, catching Chilli’s attention. Bluey was delighted by the puppet’s antics, but Chilli was less than thrilled.
As Chilli tried to read to Bluey, Unicorse kept interrupting, trying to read from his own book, making noise while Bingo slept, and getting Chilli’s name wrong every time. Bluey convinced her mum to let Unicorse stay, promising to try and improve his behavior. Chilli agreed, but only if she could read from her own book. However, Unicorse continued to cause chaos, blocking the storybook, spoiling the ending, and making rude noises when Bluey tried to scold him. Chilli had had enough, but Bluey tried to calm Unicorse down by offering him his favorite food. Unfortunately, this only made things worse, as he chewed loudly and annoyingly, and even did a victory dance.
As the situation escalated, Bluey tried to tap Unicorse on the shoulder to get his attention, but he overreacted, claiming he was injured and threatening to bring a lawyer. Chilli praised Bluey’s effort but explained that she couldn’t change Unicorse’s behavior, only how they reacted to him. Chilli suggested ignoring him, and Bluey agreed to try. As they sat down to continue the story, Unicorse returned with a hand puppet lawyer, but Bluey and Chilli ignored them, focusing on finishing the story. The two puppets eventually got into a fight with each other, frustrated that they were being ignored. Finally, Bluey and Chilli finished the story, and Chilli asked if they should leave the puppets to their argument. Bluey agreed, already feeling tired, and they left Unicorse and his lawyer to it.
