It’s election day, and Bandit and Chilli are taking Bluey and Bingo along with them to vote. As they walk, the kids try to influence their parents’ voting decisions based on the candidates’ appearances. Chilli explains that they should vote for the person who would make the best leader. Bluey asks how someone becomes a good leader, and Bandit suggests that one way is to come up with creative ways to give commands to others. Bingo isn’t keen on being bossed around, as evidenced by her reaction to being told not to touch a suspicious-looking mushroom. Bandit tries to understand her perspective, but before he can respond, some other kids arrive and invite the Heeler kids to play a game of “Circus”. The kids eagerly accept and start setting up their roles.
As the parents attend to their voting duties, the kids get into character. Honey is the lion, Mackenzie is the mean lion tamer, Coco is the acrobat who wants to marry Mackenzie, Bingo is the audience, and Bluey is the ringmaster. Nearby, Winton and his friend Hercules are playing “Motorbike”, but Winton is getting bored with being the jump and wants to take turns being the motorbike. Hercules refuses, and Winton soon abandons his post to join the “Circus” game. The circus game is in full swing, with Mackenzie being his usual mean self to the lion, Honey. Coco tries to intervene, suggesting that Mackenzie be nicer to the lion, but he refuses. The lion gets angry and breaks free, causing chaos. Just then, Winton arrives and asks to join in, and Bluey agrees, assigning him the role of clown.
As the game continues, Hercules realizes that Winton has abandoned their “Motorbike” game and sets out to find him. He discovers Winton with the other kids and demands to join in, but the kids are hesitant. Hercules insists that they play “Motorbike” instead, with the other kids as jumps. The kids reluctantly agree, but soon get bored with being jumps. Bingo stands up to Hercules, telling him that if he wants to play, he has to play their game. Hercules refuses, letting out a loud raspberry that annoys the other kids. Bluey intervenes, calming Hercules down and offering him a role as muscleman to help with the lion situation. Hercules agrees and helps to resolve the issue, lifting Mackenzie in the air and spinning him around. The kids are amused, and eventually, they all decide to play “Motorbikes” together.
As the day comes to a close, the Heeler family walks home with sausages in hand. Bandit reminds Bingo to pick up her dropped napkin, and Bluey asks her mom if she can wipe the sauce from her fingers on her fur. Chilli agrees, saying “It’s a free country.”
