Bluey - Escape

Mum and Dad envision a peaceful, imaginary world free from the girls' antics. Bluey and Bingo, eager to join in the fun, intrude on their parents' daydream and set off in pursuit. The question remains: how will Mum and Dad evade their eager daughters?

Bluey and Bingo are on their way to Nana’s house, and they’re eager to watch some TV. However, Bandit has other plans, telling them “No TV” because they’ve been watching it all morning. Bluey asks why, and Bandit suggests they draw instead. Bluey reassures Bingo that Nana will let them watch TV anyway. Chilli overhears this conversation and explains to Bluey that she and Bandit want some time to themselves, without the kids. Bluey is surprised by this and asks what they’ll be doing. Bandit says they’ll be lounging on comfy hammocks, wearing sunglasses, and Chilli adds that they’ll be drinking from coconuts with little umbrellas.

As the conversation continues, a sign appears with Bluey and Bingo’s faces and a big X marked through them. Bingo exclaims, “This is outrageous!” Bluey decides that she and Bingo will join their parents, but Bandit says a huge wall has popped up to block their way. Undeterred, Bluey hires an eagle to fly them over the wall. However, when they run out of money to pay the eagle, Chilli says a huge prickle bush has appeared, and the eagle is now occupied on the toilet. Bingo takes matters into her own hands and mows down the prickle bush with her lawnmower. Chilli and Bandit escape through a secret tunnel to their underground beds, which also have hammocks. Bluey and Bingo try to follow, but a locked manhole cover blocks their way. Bluey attempts to chop it with her axe, but it breaks. Bandit inadvertently helps them by mentioning that diamond can break metal, and the kids manage to invade.

The grown-ups make a quick escape in a sports car, but Bluey and Bingo are hot on their heels in their dreamhouse car, which is a massive vehicle with 11 burger shops, 20 bedrooms, 40 toilets, and a spa on the balcony. The dreamhouse car is driven by butlers and soon overtakes Chilli and Bandit. The parents switch to a helicopter, but Bluey activates the flight mode in the dreamhouse car, and they take to the skies. Chilli asks who built the dreamhouse car, and Bluey credits their science butler, Jerry Lee. Jerry Lee uses a plunger to stick to the pursuing helicopter, allowing the kids to catch up. Chilli and Bandit jump out, and the kids follow, parachuting down from their spa bath. The chase continues, with Bingo throwing cupcakes at the grown-ups and Chilli eating them. However, the parents soon run into a cliff, and Bluey and Bingo’s spa parachute bath lands right next to them, prompting Chilli and Bandit to give up.

Bluey wants to keep playing, so she encourages her dad to keep trying to escape. Bandit tries to hug the kids, but they run away, and the parents start chasing them. The kids jump on an electric scooter, but the grown-ups are also on scooters, with Jerry Lee pulling them on a motorbike. Bluey is surprised to see Jerry Lee working for the parents, but it turns out they’ve won him over with coconut drinks. The kids escape by jumping into a rocket and blasting off into space, with the grown-ups in pursuit. However, the parents eventually run out of air and fall back to Earth. The kids cheer and decide to live on the moon. Eventually, they arrive at Nana’s house, where Bingo asks if they can watch TV. Nana agrees, but Bluey suggests they draw instead. They spend their time drawing their dreamhouse car, Jerry Lee, and their adventures on the moon. Nana compliments their imaginations, and the scene shifts to Chilli and Bandit relaxing on their hammocks, enjoying coconut drinks with umbrellas.
