Bandit and Chilli were in the middle of cleaning the house when a pipe suddenly collapsed on Chilli. She complained that the house was falling apart, but Bandit just said it had “character.” The kids walked in, and Bluey was upset because her watermelon wasn’t as red as Bingo’s. Bandit tried to reassure her by saying the grass is “always greener on the other side of the fence,” but Bluey didn’t understand what he meant. Meanwhile, Pat was showing off his new pizza oven, which he had bought from Hammerbarn, and Bandit decided to take the family there to get one of their own.
When they arrived at Hammerbarn, Bluey and Bingo got snacks of sausages on bread, but Bluey noticed that Bingo had more sauce. Bandit went to look for the pizza ovens, and the girls went with Chilli to the garden centre. There, they made little houses with the items Chilli picked up. Chilli got a garden gnome for Bingo, which Bingo named Hecuba and said was her husband. Then, Chilli got another gnome for Bluey, but Bluey was upset because it didn’t have a shovel. Chilli told Bluey to be grateful for what she had, but Bluey insisted that she couldn’t be happy when Bingo had something better. Eventually, Chilli gave in and got Bluey a new gnome with a shovel, which Bluey was thrilled with.
As they continued shopping, Bingo got fairy lights, and Chilli made sure Bluey got the same ones so she wouldn’t feel left out. But then, Bingo got a pizza cutter, and Bluey wanted a flipper. Chilli suggested that Bluey trade something with Bingo, but Bluey ended up getting the flipper from Bingo. Just as things seemed calm, Chilli put a pizza stone on Bingo’s side of the trolley, and Bingo declared it a dining table. Bluey wanted the dining table, and a tug-of-war ensued, which ended with Hecuba falling off the trolley and Chilli yelling at Bluey. After a chaotic scene, the girls found a wall of paint samples and were fascinated by the colours. They used the samples as decorations and “food” until it was time to pay for their items. As they left the store, Bluey and Bingo were sad to leave their little houses behind, but they were distracted by the fun of scanning boxes and making “dooting” sounds. In the end, the family cooked a pizza, but it didn’t turn out as well as Pat’s. Bluey complained that her slice wasn’t as good as Bingo’s, but then said it was okay. Bandit and Pat shared a high-five, and the day came to a close.
