It’s Mother’s Day, and Bandit and the girls are trying to surprise Chilli with a special breakfast. However, things don’t go as planned when Bingo trips and drops the tray. Feeling like she’s ruined the day, Bingo runs off to cry. Chilli and Bluey go to comfort her, and Chilli tells Bingo that when something goes wrong, she should “pick herself up” and “dust herself off”. Bingo isn’t so sure she can do that, but Bluey suggests they put on a show to take her mind off things.
The show is a play about their parents’ lives, with Bluey playing Bandit and Bingo playing Chilli. They act out all sorts of scenes, from how their parents met at a party in London to their wedding and even Chilli’s first pregnancy. Their parents watch, finding the play amusing, endearing, and sometimes confusing – especially when Bandit’s character is portrayed in an unflattering light. However, things take a turn when the balloon representing unborn Bluey pops during the pregnancy scene. Chilli’s smile disappears, and Bandit puts his hand on hers to comfort her.
Bingo gets discouraged and runs away, feeling like it’s all her fault. She hides to the side of the balcony, and Bluey tries to call her back. But then Bingo remembers her mother’s advice and decides to “pick herself up” and “dust herself off”. She gets back into the play, even drafting Bandit to play the role of newborn Bluey, complete with a bonnet and nappy. Bandit gives Bluey a hard time, but Chilli congratulates Bingo on getting back into the game. With renewed confidence, Bingo declares “The show must go on!” and they continue with the play.
