The Heeler sisters were playing on the lawn when two cars pulled up and men in work uniforms got out. The girls thought these men were intruders, so they tried to scare them away by barking. When that didn’t work, they ran under the porch. Chilli talked to the men while the girls watched from the stairs. The men said they would finish their work in three to four days, and to Bingo’s surprise, they knew Chilli’s name.
As the men started working, the girls called Chilli over to ask who they were. Chilli explained that they were tradies building a fishpond. She asked the girls to keep an eye on them and make sure they were working hard, so the pond would be complete within the next three days. The girls started spying on the tradies, giving them nicknames like “Big Belt” and “Chocolate Milk”. They told Chilli that “Chocolate Milk” was always on his phone, and they decided the tradies were their “enemies”. The girls continued to spy, with Bluey sneaking up on “Chocolate Milk” behind a kiddie car and Bingo following “Big Belt”. When “Big Belt” saw Bluey, both girls ran back into the house.
The girls told Chilli that “Chocolate Milk”, whose real name was Chippy, was texting and calling a girl named Cherry. They saw him talking to a woman outside, but she looked angry, which confused them. Chilli thought maybe Chippy was trying to apologize after an argument. The next day, the tradies returned, and the girls found out more about them. They learned that “Big Belt” had a wife named Jules who wouldn’t let him eat pie, and that Chippy wasn’t allowed to drive his car anymore. When an ice cream truck arrived, the girls got excited, but Chilli didn’t let them have any ice cream. However, when the tradies bought ice cream, the girls took Chippy’s cone and started talking to “Big Belt”. He told them that Chippy and Cherry were trying to become friends again after a fight. Chilli scolded the girls for eating ice cream and revealed that “Big Belt’s” real name was Sparky. On their last day, the tradies finished the pond, and the girls thought it was “amazing”. As the tradies left, the girls said goodbye, and they saw that Chippy and Cherry had made up.
