Dad takes Bluey to the playground, where she quickly hits it off with a girl named Winnie. The two girls decide to play a game of Café, but they need some customers, so they recruit their dads, Bandit and Fido. The dads are a bit hesitant to get to know each other, but they play along. Winnie suggests having Bluey and Bandit over for breakfast, but both Bandit and Fido politely decline.
The next morning, Bluey tells Mum all about her playground adventure and asks Dad if he’s friends with Fido now. Bandit says that grownups take longer to make friends, and he’s not sure if he and Fido are friends yet. On their next trip to the playground, Bandit and Fido start to bond over shared opinions and a sense of fun. They even play a trick on the girls, eating “sugar packets” and then running away, with Bluey and Winnie chasing after them.
After that outing, Bluey and Bandit have a fun breakfast conversation about their adventure. Bingo gets excited about the story and decides to join Dad and Bluey on their next playground trip. However, she loses interest in the game after a while and pulls Dad away, leaving him a bit disappointed. The next day, Bandit is expecting a quiet morning, but when they arrive at the playground, Winnie and Fido are nowhere to be found. They show up later, but just as they do, Bandit realizes it’s time to head back home for breakfast. In a surprise move, Bandit invites Fido and Winnie to join them, suggesting that he’s finally decided to consider Fido a friend.
